Shhhhh. Are you alone? Take a look over your shoulder, under your desk, behind your fridge. Don’t see any GM representatives milling around, do you? No 5’ 9” dudes with well-groomed beards, impeccably ironed polo shirts and sensible loafers? Good. If they knew what you were about to read, they’d plotz!
As it turns out, there are a few more trim options for the 2010 Chevy Camaro available besides the standard LS, 1LT, 2LT, 1SS and 2SS. No, I’m not talking about the sickly green Synergy Special Edition Camaro. These options are truly SS (super secret), but I’m here to unlock the door and let this secret spill out onto the street like that last mouthful of cold coffee from your travel mug.
Here it goes: out in dusty Decatur, IN, lives the Lingenfleter Performance Engineering company. If you bring in your 2010 Camaro, they’ll equip it with one of 7 trick performance packages. These kits range from a simple supercharger upgrade to your base L99 Camaro all the way to a monstrous 800 HP twin turbo package with more bells and whistles than a troop of belly dancers directing traffic.
The only downside: the top-end package runs about $64,995 (yeah, that’s in addition to the cost of your 2010 Chevy Camaro). But, hey. You only live once, right?
